Passing of Lifetime member and past Chief Bill Ennis
It is with great sympathy the the officer's and membership of the Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Department announce the passing Past Chief Bill Ennis. Chief Ennis remained very active throughout his 50 year tenure with the DVFD mentoring many along the way. His stories and infectious smile will be missed around not only Dagsboro but Sussex County as well. Please keep Chief Ennis's family in your thoughts as they cope with their loss.
Following our loss of Past Chief Bill Ennis, the officers and members of the DVFD would like to announce the arrangements that have been put in place by the family to be held at the Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday November 27th. A visitation will be held from 0900-1100, with a celebration of life to follow beginning at 1100. Following a private graveside service for the family, there will be a meal provided at the Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Department where everyone is welcomed to gather. Anyone wishing to attend, following Past Chief Ennis's wishes, we request that it be casual dress along with a fire department shirt. Any questions should be directed towards President Townsend (302)462-6834 or Fire Chief Betts (302)245-9814.
