2 Vehicle MVC - Route 113 & Clayton Street

At approximately 0341, the DVFD along with Frankford EMS were alerted for a two vehicle MVC at the intersections of Route 113 and Clayton Street. Shortly after dispatch Engine 73-2 marked on the air responding under the command of Asst. Chief Glenn, while en route to the scene EOC advised of two vehicles with a possibility of two patients. Upon the arrival of Engine 2 Asst. Chief Glenn confirmed the report of 2 vehicle's in the roadway investigating. Rescue 73 followed not long after under the direction of Rescue Capt. Steele, upon the arrival of the Rescue the crew assisted with securing the vehicles along with major debris clean up that littered the roadway, while Engine 2 crew assisted Ambulance 76 with packaging of the sole patient for transport to a nearby medical facility. Route 113 north bound was closed approximately 45 minutes for the duration of the alarm due to the vehicles and debris being scattered throughout the roadway.
Captain B.McGee was the duty officer and had Dupont Blvd. command.
