Rest in Peace Brother - Millville, DE
Monday, June 8, 2015
It is with heavy hearts & deep sorrow that the members of the DVFD and area fire departments found out they had lost one of their own, Roxana VFC Tower Captain Kevin Dill. Kevin was a Past Member of the Brandywine Hundred VFC and the Millville VFC, before joining the Roxana VFC where he held the rank of Tower Captain. Kevin was also a part-time career Firefighter/EMS Driver with the DVFD where his wife Denise Dill was a former career NREMT for the DVFD. Our hearts and prayers go out to the Dill family your brothers and sisters are here for you.
"A fireman's life is easy,
we eat, we sleep and play,
and sometime's we won't fight a fire
for days and days and days".
When you first hear these words
people don't understand
but we knew when people had trouble
we were there to lend a hand.
You wondered why we risked our lives
for someone we didn't know.
But now you truly realize
the greatest gift a person can give
is to lay our life upon the line
so that someone else might live.
So as you go from day to day
and you pray to God above
say a prayer for your local Firemen.
He may save the one's you love.
