On the evening of Thursday June 17th @ approx. 1830hrs., Sussex EOC alerted the D.V.F.D. along w/ Medic 103 and Trooper 2 for a single vehicle MVC vs. tree with entrapment. Engine 73-2 responded not long after under the command of Capt. J.Marvel, Ambulance B-73 and F.F. Townsend arrived on scene simulteniously and advised Capt. J.Marvel that there was confirmed entrapment and will need to perform a rapid extrication. Upon the arrival of Engine 73-2 Capt. Marvel requested an additional avaiation unit due to two priority 1 patients, which brought in LifeNet to the scene. Shortly after Engine/Tanker 73-3 arrived on scene under the command of Deputy Chief T. Glenn and both crews worked on freeing the patients. Trooper 2 along w/ LifeNet both transported priority 1 patients to Christiana Hospital. While Ambulance 76 obtained a patient refusal.
