At 17:44 the DVFD was alerted to a reported possible woods fire at the given location. Brush 730 responded with a crew of (3) three under the command of Chief Furbush and was advised by EOC that they were receiving multiple calls of smoke coming from the woods just south of the Church of God. Brush 730 arrived with Chief Furbush establishing the IC. Crews stretched the 1" boosted line into the woods & soon reported that a 10x20 abandoned structure was involved. Crews quickly went to work, backed up by a 1 3/4" line from E732 & an additional 1" booster line from E736. E731 & Tanker 73 were staged on DuPont Blvd. Crews made quick work of the fire & after overhauling the area picked up their lines & returned to service. The fire is being investigated by the DE State FMO. Crews operated for approx. 45 min.
