The DVFD responded to a reported trash fire at the give location. Brush 73 arrived to fins a large pile burring w/ minor extension into the surrounding field & ditch bank. Upon further investigation crews discovered a motor home & several tires in the pile. Crew put the deck gun on E731 in service, dumping 1000 gallons on the pile. With hvy heat still issuing from the center of the pile IC requested DELDOT to respond with an excavator to pulled the motor home out of the pile & to also disperse the pile for easier extinguishment. After DELDOT pulled the pile apart crew dumped another 2000 gallons on the pile fully extinguishing it. DNRC arrived & has launched an investigation into the cause of the blaze. Rescue Capt. Betts had the IC. Crews operated for approx. 2 hrs.
