5+ Acre Natural Cover Fire - 30500 Blk DuPont Blvd

The DVFD responded to a natural cover fire on the given date. Brush 73 arrived to find more then 2 acres burring & being pushed by 30+ mph winds. By the time crews were able to contain & extinguish the fire more then 5 acres had burned. Deputy Chief S. Furbush had the DuPont Blvd. IC. Units operated for over 4 hrs. to bring the fire under control. The DVFD was assisted by Millsboro, Frankford, Millville, Selbyville, Roxana, Georgetown & DE Dept. of Forestry.
