Through out the week of July 22 - July 27 numerous DVFD members & Officers traveled to Baltimore to attend the 2008 Firehouse Expo & Conference. In all the DVFD sent (11) eleven personnel. These members attended Classes ranging from ICS, Fireground Tactics, EMS Management, Fireground Safety, & many others. In addition personnel attended the Expo displaying acres of the latest in Fire/Rescue technology & equipment. Members of the new apparatus committee got to see the newest in fire apparatus design & innovations. Members also attended the Fallen Firefighters Fund Raiser, Model Muster, & a Baltimore Orioles Baseball game. The DVFD feels that having its personnel attend this event allows its firefighters & EMT's to take part in some of the best training in the nation presented by nationally certified & recognized instructors from all over the world.
