It is with great sorrow the membership of the DVFD learned that FF/NREMT-P Stephanie Callaway lost her life in the Line of Duty on the morning of 17 June 2008. Stephanie was a Career FF/NREMT-B with the DVFD for 3 yrs before being accepted to the Sussex County Paramedic Program. Stephanie was also an active member of the Lewes Fire Dept. Stephanie is survived by her husband & Past Asst. Chief Steve Callaway & her 2 sons. Everyone knew Stephanie for her bubbly & very outgoing personality, her untimely passing has left a gap in the Sussex County Public Safety community that we at the DVFD feel can never be filled. We are also keeping FF/NREMT-B Hickman & Wisseman in our prayers & wish them a speedy recovery.
