As many of the DVFD members were just leaving the DVFD Awards Banquet. The box was struck for a vehicle into a building with fire at the above address. Millville, Bethany Beach & Roxana were alerted as the 1st alarm. With the arrival of Command 84 a 2nd alarm was struck re-alerting all 1st alarm units and bringing the DVFD & Frankford. Engine 1 & the Rescue Co. filled the assignment with 12 volunteers and were put to work on arrival. Crews operated for over 4hrs. before being released. The Millsboro VFC provided cover for Dagsboro. 11 fire departments operated during the alarm either on scene or on transfers. See www.millville84.com for more on this story.
