Just before 19:00 the DVFD was alerted on a box assignment for a reported working structure fire at Plantation Lakes on Millsboro Hwy. Engine 731 was on the street with a crew of (5) with in a minute. EOC advised they were getting multiple reports of heavy smoke in the area. Engine 1 arrived as the first due engine and stretched to what turned out to be several large piles of plastic drainage pipe, well off. Just as the remainder of the assignment was staging EOC alerted the DVFD for a second emergency, a MVC at DuPont Blvd & Nine Foot Rd. As the crew from Engine 1 had made a knock on the fire the remaining DVFD units were released to handle the MVC.
