At 02:17 the DVFD was alerted for an Engine Co. as part of a 2nd alarm to assist Millsboro with a woods & hay bales on fire. Alerted along with the DVFD were Indian River, Lewes, Milton, & Georgetown. Engine 731 Engine/Tanker 73 & Tanker 73 responded with a combined staffing of (9) nine. Engine 731 was sent to establish a draft at the Millsboro spillway located on Millsboro Hwy. Both the Engine/Tanker & Tanker 73 were special called to the scene and placed in the water shuttle. Units operated for a little of (5) five hrs. before being released. A total of (9) departments operated at the height go the blaze. The Millville VFC transferred Engine/Tanker 84 to Dagsboro while crews operated on scene. Final DVFD units were in quarters and ready by 06:30.
