At approx. 18:45 the DVFD along with additional departments were alerted to assist Millsboro with a woods fire at the above location. Brush 730, Engine/Tanker 73 & Utility 73 responded with combined staffing of 14 under the command of Chief Glenn. The DVFD crews arrived and assisted with mop up of the fire lines that had been cut by the Forestry Service. Crews operated for approx. 2.5 hrs. before returning to service. At the height or the blaze 12 departments were operating on scene or on transfer assignments. This was the 2nd greater alarm fire in the county for the day.
