On Friday, 05 July 02 at 1839 hrs. the Sussex EOC alerted the Dagsboro VFD along with Frankford VFD EMS & SCEMS Medic 103 for a MVC at DE 26 & Quail Run. At 1843 hrs. Engine 732 was on the air under the command of Asst. Chief McCabe and was advised he had a reported 2 vehicle MVC with side to front impact with 1 vehicle in the ditch. Rescue Co. 73 marked on the air under the command of Asst. Chief Engineer Layton at 1844 hrs. Engine 732 arrived on location at 1845 hrs. with Asst. Chief McCabe in command and advised as reported. Engine 732 began patient assessment and was assisted by Amb. B-73 when the came on location at 1846 hrs. Rescue Co. 73 was assigned to stabilize the vehicle in the ditch as well as to check the both vehicles for hazards. As both patients refused treatment, ALS was canceled & the scene was placed under control clearing all fire units ready for service at 1852 hrs. Fire police remained on location to asst. Delaware State Police until 1912 hrs.
