On Thursday 25 March 2004 at 11:49 the Millsboro, Dagsboro & Gumboro VFD's were alerted on a box assignment for a grass fire that had extended into a chicken house at 22961 Mission Rd. Engine 831 was responding under the command of Chief 83 at 11:54 and advised a farmer was conducting an agricultural burn and it had extended into a near by chicken house. Engine 732 was next out at 11:55 under the command of Asst. Chief Furbush and advised the same. Rescue Co. 73 & Tanker Co. were the next pieces out from Dagsboro. Engine 831 arrived to find a collapsed chicken house involved on one end. Chief 83 est. IC and canceled Tanker 73 & all Responding Gumboro units. Crews from Engine732 & Rescue Co. 73 arrived and assisted in pulling tin and overhaul. The incident was placed under control, holding all units at 12:25.
