Minor MVC leads to Rescue - Vines Creek Rd. e/o Armory Rd.

The Sussex EOC transmitted a reported minor MVC on Vines Creek Rd. e/o Armory Rd. to the Dagsboro VFD & Frankford EMS at 13:25. Amb. B-73 responded at 13:26 and was advised minor injuries with no further information. Engine 732 officered by Deputy McCabe checked on the air with a crew of (5) five, at 13:28 and advised the same. With the arrival of Engine 732, Deputy McCabe established IC and advised EOC to dispatch a second BLS unit to the scene. At this time IC sized up the incident and saw the collision was a glancing head-on impact. IC tasked his crew to deploy the Hurst unit for a total driver side door removal. EMS then advised they had (1) one priority 2 (driver) & (1) one priority 3 (passenger). Rescue Co. 73 arrived and began to secure hazards, and assist with patient removal. IC placed the incident under control with both patients enroute to BMC at 13:44. On scene EMT's secured (2) refusals from the passenger & driver of the DART bus. Vines Creek Rd. was closed both east & west bound for approx. 40 min. The collision is under investigation by the Delaware State Police. Units Operating on Scene: Engine 732, Rescue Co. 73, Amb.
