MVC involving LP Gas Truck w/ Rescue - Main St. & Iron Branch Rd.

On 15 January at approx. 16:50 the Dagsboro VFC along with Frankford EMS were alerted for a MVC with Rescue at the intersection of Main St. & Dagsboro Rd. Engine 732 checked on the air with Deputy McCabe and was advised 2 vehicle MVC involving an LP Gas Truck with confirmed entrapment. Engine 732 arrived with Deputy McCabe est. IC, advising one confirmed pinned. Rescue Co. 73 under the command of Asst. Chief Furbush was assigned to deploy their, Hurst 32B Jaws, Combination Tool, O-Cutter, and Rams and Asst. Chief Furbush was assigned Extrication Officer. At this time the crew of Engine 732 had deployed (2) two 1 3/4" attack line to protect the extraction. Command requested an additional engine company to the scene. Sussex EOC alerted the Frankford VFC for a 1 piece Engine Co. assist. At 17:15 crews had removed both patients and completed all extraction operations. Both patient were transported via ground ALS by Dagsboro & Frankford EMS. Crews began clearing at 17:40 and all crews and units were available and ready for service at 17:45. Units Operating on Scene: Engine 732, Engine 761, Rescue Co. 73, Utility 7310, Amb. A-73, Amb.
