At 20:09 the DVFD along with Frankford EMS were dispatched to a MVC at Vines Creek Rd. & Helms Landing Rd. Millville VFC units were enroute to perform a vehicle extrication drill at the old Murray's Motors (Dagsboro) & were approx. 1 mile out & heading in the direction of the call when it went out. The MVFC Crews arrived to find a 2 vehicle MVC with rescue. EOC quickly upgraded the assignment adding Medic 105, EMS 100 & Trooper II. Engine 732 with Asst. Chief Furbush checked on he air at 20:14 with a crew of 6. Asst. Chief Hammond (MVFC) established IC & advised crews from Millville (E842, R84, Brush 84, Command 84) had begun rescue efforts. With the arrival of Engine 732 IC was passed to Asst. Chief Furbush. Rescue 73 arrived and set up lighting on the west side of the scene. At 20:22 crews had completed extrication and were packaging the patient. The patient was then transferred to Trooper II and transported to PRMC. The incident was placed under control holding the DVFD units until the vehicles were cleared from the seen. IC put units in service as ready at 21:13.
