2 Alarm House Fire - Reed St. - Frankford

On Thursday, 9 September the Sussex EOC filled a box assignment for a reported working house fire at 17 Reed St. in Frankford. The 1st alarm was struck at 09:17 sending the Frankford & Dagsboro VFD's along with SCEMS Medic 105. Engine 761 was on the street at 09:21, followed closely by Engine 731 with a staffing of 4. Engine 761 arrived with Asst. chief Bacon as IC, and requested a working fire dispatch, bringing the Selbyville VFD as R.I.T. and filling Frankford's Station. Engine 731under the command of Asst. Chief Furbush arrived & struck the hydrant on the east end of the structure and laid out 800' of 5" LDH. Rescue Co. 73 arrived and staged on the east end and sent its crew of 5 to the scene. At 09:33 IC requested a 2nd alarm re-alerting the Frankford & Dagsboro VFD's & sending Roxana Engine 905, Millville Engine/Tanker 844. With total collapse of the structure Truck 84 was special called to assist with overhaul. IC placed the incident under control at 10:10 with units clearing after extensive overhaul at 12:18.
