On Tuesday December 11, 2018 Dagsboro VFD along with SCEMS was dispatched to a single vehicle accident versus a tree.  Minutes after dispatch Command 73-8 under the direction of Captain G.Betts went responding and was advised of 1 vehicle off the roadway into a tree.  Upon his arrival he established command and advised Engine 73-2, under the direction of Captain M.Greenstreet, of possible entrapment.  Once on scene it was found there would be no entrapment requiring the use of hydraulic tools, and crews were able to assist patient with self extrication from the vehicle.  Crew from Engine 73-2 assisted ambulance A-73's crew with packaging patient for transport to a local hospital, while Rescue 73's crew worked to secure the vehicle and perform debris clean up.  Vines Creek Road remained shut down for approximately 30 minutes to ensure a safe work enviroment for crews to perform their necessary duties.
