Saturday April 21st @ 1451 hrs. Dagsboro Fire Department along with assistance from Frankford Fire Department were dispatched for a shed fire on Piney Neck Road. Assistant Chief D.Betts arrived on scene minutes after dispatch confirming a detached shed fully involved with exposures to multiple nearby dog kennels. Engine 73-1 under the direction of Chief J.Marvel was soon to follow, upon their arrival a supply line was laid in from the roadway along with attack lines being placed in service to begin extinguishment of the fire. Engine/Tanker 73-3 under the direction of Captain G.Betts arrived and placed a second attack line in service to protect exposures while assisting with extinguishment efforts. Tanker 73 along with the apparatus from Frankford and Millsboro established a water supply from the roadway while all crews worked simultaneously to extinguish and over haul any remaining hot spots. Crews were on scene for approximately one hour thirty minutes extinguishing the blaze and there were no injuries to animals or firefighters to report.

Selbyville Fire Department Engine 88-1 staged at Frankford's station to provide coverage to both Dagsboro and Frankford fire districts for the duration of the alarm.
