Command Unit in Service
The Officers and Members of the DVFD have placed into service a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe designated as 73 Command. This is our first command unit for the department and will be utilized by our Fire Officers to respond on emergency calls. The vehicle carries a medical/trauma bag with oxygen, an AED, a set of forcible entry tools/bolt cutter, an airpack and fire extinguisher. The rear of the command units boasts a touch screen pop up computer with 19" monitor, accountability/dry erase board, fire radios and additional storage space. Fastlane Emergency Vehicles (www.flev.com) was used for the conversion which included cabinet/console install as well as all electrical, emergency lighting and graphics.
