Friday June 26th the Sussex County EOC dispatched Dagsboro VFD to assist Frankford VFC to the area of Omar Rd & Camaro Lane, for a combine fire that had spread rapidly to the surrounding field with exposures to nearby woods and structures. Engine/Tanker 73 and Tanker 73 responded simultaneously under the direction of Asst. Chief Glenn and Capt. G.Betts, upon their arrival crew's assisted with suppression efforts of the combine along with water supply. Units worked on scene for approximately 1.5 hours to bring the fire under control and clear all hot spots around the area.
