Bryan Townsend Memorial
Sunday, November 10, 2019

It is with heavy hearts that we, the members of the Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Department, announce the passing of Lifetime Member Bryan Townsend. Please keep Firefighter Townsends family and the members of Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Department in your prayers.

Bryan Townsend (BAT)man age 48, joined his boys Steven and Justin in heaven on November 4th, 2019. He made his journey surrounded by his soul mate, wife Melissa, Bryan’s big brother Clayton and his wonderful wife Angie. Bryan spent most of his childhood at the Dagsboro Vol. Fire Dept. with his father so it was no surprise he joined and served for many faithful years and recently becoming a life member after 20 years of service. Bryan will be remembered most for the Pull’n, Peel’n, and pick’n event every year with the Good Ole Boy’s Foundation. He was a 25+ year employee with Mountaire having followed again in his father’s footsteps and joined the wonderful organization at the age of 18. Bryan loved to keep moving. If you saw him, his wife wasn’t far behind. They truly were a couple. They enjoyed horseback riding, fishing on their boat, camping with family and playing with their jeeps. He loved his cat and horses without a doubt. He was proceeded in death by his father and his two sons Steven and Justin. Bryan left behind his wife, who will deal with him when she gets to heaven. His brother Clayton who can still shoot more ducks than him and Clayton’s wife chicken and dumpling Queen Angie, his mother Betty Lou, his mother and father-in-law Leslie and Santa Doug, sister-in-law’s Roxanne, Danielle and nieces and nephews galore. Aaron (Rebecca) Townsend and baby Flossie who he was so excited to meet. Nick (Dottie) and their children Axel and Ella. Sarah (Seth) their children Austin and Addison he also left behind his little niece Avah who stole his horse, Wyatt who helped him through his hard days also his brothers and sisters at Dagsboro Vol. Fire Dept. Services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, November 16,2019 at the Dagsboro Vol. Fire Dept. where friends and family may call after 11AM. Interment will be held at Dagsboro Redmen Cemetery with refreshments to follow at Dagsboro Vol. Fire Dept. In lieu of flowers Bryan’s wish was to continue the memory of his son LODD Justin Townsend please make donations to the Dagsboro Vol. Fire Dept. c/o Justin Townsend Scholarship fund.
