DVFD surprises Jace on his 5th birthday

When the parents of 5 year old Jace Freezer was asked what he wanted for his birthday he had only one wish; he wanted to eat pizza with firefighters! So after being contacted by his parents, members of the DVFD were happy to grant that birthday wish. Jace had quite the surprise when we showed up to his home with lights and sirens ringing! Jace was able to ride in the fire truck back to the station where he was given a tour of the fire house, met with Sparky, checked out all the equipment, and then we had pizza with the birthday boy! Jace had 2 other surprises (as did we) when we responded to 2 alarms while celebrating his birthday! What an amazing feeling to see how happy this made Jace, he told us this was the best birthday ever!!! Thank you to the Basara/Freezer family for asking us to be a part of your family's special day, and once again Happy Birthday Jace!!
